Lord, today is Father's Day
And I'm feeling kinda sad.
You have him in a far-away land
And I'm really missing my Dad.

I know that he is doing his job
And protecting those oppressed.
I'm proud of what he's doing
And I know he's one of the best.

I pray that you will guide him
Safely through this war,
So he can, with arms outstretched,
Come walking through our door.

I pray for all who are fighting
To set and keep men free.
I even pray for those, dear Lord
Who are our enemy.

If you see my Father
While you're making rounds today.
Tell him that I love him, and
Wish him a Happy Father's Day.
