Today
we stand up and salute
all of our men and women, from the
past to the present, who have served
their country in the U. S. Armed Forces
and have given their lives, fighting for
our freedom.

We
will be eternally grateful to them
and their families for all that they
went through; the pain; the anguish;
the separation from their loved ones.
We will never forget them.

This
Memorial Day and D-Day brings
the realization of how much of a sacrifice
was made for our freedom. Sixty years
ago, thousands of our troops lost their
precious lives during the Normandy
Invasion, and tens of thousands more
in the wars, conflicts and peace keeping
since then. What would they have become?
They could still be here today,
if not for the wars. What a difference it
would make in the lives of their families.
But we must defend ourselves and our
country, at all costs, and the cost is very
painful.

Because
of their bravery and dedication
to their country, we remain a Free Nation.
This
is a salute to all of them and
their families.
God
be with them
