The squirrels were playing beneath the trees
In the springtime morning sun.
They were fighting over an acorn shell,
But they seemed to be having fun.
They would scamper across the driveway,
carrying morsels to the neighbor's tree.
Even though I was only five feet away,
They didn't seem bothered by me.
This spring day I was watering
My beautiful daisy bed.
When, to my supprise and wonderment,
appears a little squirrel head.
It looked at me, as if to say,
Hello, how are you today.
It blinked it's eyes and shook it's tail
And then ran off to play.
This is one of many
Springtime moments I've had,
May the wonder of animals and nature
Surprise YOU, and make YOUR heart glad.
